Dr. Li

Aaron and I went to see Dr. Li today for Alyssa's check-up. There is still some room for improvement on her right side so he wants her to continue wearing the helmet. Her next check-up will be on her birthday, May 10. A problem we were concerned with is that Alyssa is getting bigger and she is growing right out of the helmet. We have been hoping to not have to purchase another helmet seeing they are quite expensive. I went to the LAB directly after her appt. and talked over what Dr. Li wanted done and how the helmet should be sitting on her head. Thankfully, Mark was able to add some on to the front to where it is sitting more flush on the forehead and pushing over to the right side. I will go back to the LAB next week to see if this is working and then we will decide if she needs a new one or not. When we see Dr. Li on May 10 Alyssa will be a year old so we will discuss what progress has been made and decide on anything further we need to do. Prayerfully she will be done with the helmet and will require no more surgeries. Thanks many of you for your e-mails and your prayers for us and Alyssa. She is such a sweet little girl and we are so glad that the Lord gave her to us.
