Blessings of our children!

We have been quite busy still with the bathroom. Finally the spackling, sanding, and primer is done. The walls and ceiling will get painted before the flooring gets laid on Wednesday and then it's time to call the plumbers again to install the toilet and sink.

It's been awesome to see our hard efforts paying off with Drew. He has grown so much these last few weeks discipline wise and we have been so blessed with his attitude and soft heart. I am sure we have many more battles to face but in the mean time we will enjoy these victories. Drew was my partner for door to door soulwinning on Saturday and he was all excited. He loves holding the flyers and handing them right to the people as they open the door, as well as, sticking his head inside to check out there homes:) We went to one door and an elderly woman came and I proceeded to tell her who we were and what we were doing. The minute she heard church she shut us down. Drew dropped one of the flyers on her porch accidentally and she began to lecture us about not leaving garbage on her porch. As Drew picked them up he held one out to give to her not really knowing how angry she was. The woman looked down at him and told him he needed it more than she did and shut the door. That made an impression on Drew and he said he wanted to tell her that she needed to put a happy face on and that it was bad that she didn't want to hear about Jesus. It didn't stop him and he was ready and eager to get to the next house. It's been a blessing to serve the Lord with our children and get them involved. It was neat to see our pastor take him on his knee last night and have him say his verse and then play with him.

Alyssa is still our laid back little girl but can be wiry at times. She's not as strong-willed as Drew but she has her moments. She's starting to try and say little words here and there and loves for you to chase her around the house. You can almost finally see her ankles from her rolls of fat! She is always ready to eat and will take as much as you give her.

I can't believe someone would treat a little child like that! That makes me mad! I'm glad you were able to take him with you!

I can't believe that your son was allowed to drop garbage on that poor woman's porch. My heart goes out to this elderly victim. This country of ours needs to pass laws so that the surly among us are protected from juvenile visitors.
