Christmas???

Every day, since Drew talked to Papa Behrens a few weeks ago, I hear something about Christmas. He thinks Christmas is right around the corner or within the next few days. Good 'ole Papa has him pumped. When we were kids we didn't get much of anything all year long, but when Christmas came it was fun. My dad would go all out and spoil us. Now it's being passed down to the grandkids and boy do they soak it up. They know Papa is a big softy, especially at Christmas time. Not only does Drew look forward to that but he is dying for some snow around here. Mommy, well....lets just say I can handle the weather we have now.

School has been going well. Besides writing, reading, and learning numbers, we are now working on the days of the week. Drew knows how many are in the week and has got the first three down. We will continue working on these the next couple of weeks and then move on to money or the months. It's fall time so we have made the school decorations for the occasion. Alyssa tries bless her dear soul. When Drew is reciting something she babbles away with him. She really has no interest in school like Drew did at her age. She would rather find trouble for herself and get in to things. Let's just say she has gotten in to more trouble for playing with the phone than anything. I am looking for the day when she is going to accidentally press 911 rather than pressing the number for Papa or Aunt Andrea.

Still working on the house. We put up Alyssa's crown molding last weekend. I get to finish the last minute touches on it. Drew's room is next and then the mud room.
