Christmas Early!

Alyssa received some of her Christmas gifts early from Papa Behrens. The Lord blessed us with tons of clothes from Aunt Andrea and Uncle Will before Alyssa was even thought of, but she is such a little peanut she is not in Ashley's clothes yet that are for this winter. She is definitely going to take after mommy and be a petite little girl. Now that it is starting to get a little chilly around here Papa and Grandma couldn't let their little one freeze. These will get her through now and hopefully she will fit in the other clothes around January. She better because they have given us some beautiful things:)
Drew, on the other hand, fits in all of Brandon's clothes well. Even though he doesn't get to see Brandon a lot he loves him and talks about him often. He started to cry around bedtime last night and when I asked him what was wrong he
said he was sad about Brandon and missed him. He is a soft hearted little boy and is very sensitive to things. He thinks about others and loves to pray and talk to Jesus. Whenever anything goes wrong with him or someone else he always asks me to pray with him. When he found out about his Great Grandma and her shoulder he had to stop right where he was on the stairs and pray with daddy for her. We are so thankful that the Lord is continuing to work on his heart. The other day he was trying to decipher between his black heart and black people. He loves this little girl, Janelle, in our church who is black (he wants to marry her and all the other girls too, he said) He thought that since she was black that her and all those who are black must have black hearts too. Yet another opportunity we were able to take with him and talk about Jesus. Drew loves Patch the Pirate. We have been putting him to bed earlier now and letting him listen to Patch. He probably has down at least three of the patch CD's. It's neat listening to him while he is playing singing the songs or acting out the stories on the CD. He loves the Jungle, Custard's Last Stand, and right now he is in to the Giant Killer CD. I am so thankful for the children the Lord gave us and the opportunity to raise them for Him.
I had a great birthday yesterday. Thanks everyone for the phone calls and e-mails. Aaron took off of work so we could spend the day together. We gave the kids to my MIL Monday night and they stayed with her until Tuesday when we got back. It was nice to spend the day with Aaron and go out to eat and just hang out together. We went and looked at vehicles for a little bit just to have a back up plan in case our truck doesn't make it. Aaron and his Dad put some special oil in it on Monday and the knocking has seemed to get much quieter in the engine. We are praying the Lord will let it run a until next summer or longer so we can buy new and get the vehicle we want. Aaron ran in to an old friend from Akron today and she has gotten saved since he saw her last. Her husband works for a car dealership here and she said we went to look for a car he could get us a good deal, PTL. Aaron also bought me two dresses from Talbots and he and Drew made me a cake. Of course, I received money from my parents and in-laws. Can never go wrong with money:)
