Well, it was a "beautiful day" as Drew would say yesterday. Every morning he tells me, "God made us a beautiful day, mommy." Today it looks like another nice day, as well. The bike cart we bought this past summer has been a great investment. You can leave the front open when it's warm or pull the plastic cover over when it's raining or cold out and it keeps the kids dry and warm. We've been out walking with them in 40 degree weather and they keep nice and toasty.

Drew read his first sentence yesterday, "The dog sat". He was quite proud of himself as was mommy and daddy. I've been working on sight words with him. Basically, just going over them each day and using them as are spelling lesson too. I kinda switched things up a bit and am doing numbers and some writing during the day and then phonics at night when daddy is home. He seems to do much better when daddy is around with reading:) Alyssa loves doing her ABC's and counting. She is really good at counting to ten if you can understand her. She tries to get her fingers going while counting. Last night after we put her in bed she was singing her ABC's and counting and when she would get done she would start clapping and say, "yeah".

We are looking forward to Thanksgiving and then Christmas not too far away. Everyone is getting together at my in-laws house for Thanksgiving and then we are travelling to my parents for Christmas. Drew finally added mommy and daddy to his thankful list and his sister:0) Our pastor and his wife gave us a tape called Holy Bible and Friends Go Down the Romans Road. There son is now off at Bible college and so they gave it to us for Drew. Drew loves it and it presents the gospel clearly and the Romans Road verses are done in song.

Aaron and I were asked to do our Christmas play for church. We are getting one sent to us by my brother that we did when I was in PA which is a life saver. He does the music for his church and has done and made up Christmas plays. I'd have to say he is one of the best music directors I know. It truly is amazing the talent the Lord has given him in this area. It will be fun working with the kids. We have enjoyed working with them in our Jr. Church class. They have so much energy and are anxious to learn. This week we have a singing special for church we are going to do. They love getting up and singing that's for sure. We emphasized missions this past month so we are going to say a verse, sing Be a Missionary, and another song called Run if you want to. It's a neat song and the verses go through the story of David, Daniel, and the men in the fiery furnace. The next week we will sing I Just Wanna Thank You Lord.

Keep up the good work with Drew and Alyssa. The Lord is going to bless you and Aaron abundantly for rearing them in the way He has said! Awesome on his reading as well. Can he come and teach one of my K-5 students how to read as well?! Love ya:)
