I am feeling much better thanks to a little TLC. It's nice to eat again and not be in so much pain. My husband was so great and I am so thankful for my dear MIL who took the kids for me during the day to rest even though she was watching my SIL's five kids.
I was able to get some shopping done yesterday for the kids. It was actually a visa gift card from Papa and Grandma Dunn in AL. The kids have so many toys that, instead, I bought more Leap Frog educational things for them along with a football for Drew too. We received more snow last night. Of course, we couldn't make it through the day without going out and playing in it for a little bit. Drew likes the impressions the sled makes in the snow. We usually make a big circle and then he imagines it's a train track and that he's Thomas and mommy is James. Much to his dismay, it's Wednesday today and we had to come in early for a nap. He can usually go without one and then we end up putting him to bed early, but church days a nap is a must.
School is going good for Drew and Alyssa is usually right in there trying to say blends, count, and get in to things. He's reading more little sentences and he loves being able to circle the short sound vowels in words. He gets so excited about it and thrilled to use a marker on the dry erase board. Last week I brought a puppet pig out to do school with us. I would ask the pig questions and then Drew. We went over the blends together, counting by 1's and 10's, money, and the days of the week. Then the pig would be the teacher. After awhile snorting was getting quite tiresome for mommy:0) Wow, was that ever a hit with him. Everyday now the pig must go to school with us. It amazes me what he soaks in and how he loves to learn. He and daddy went to the library and got books on the moon and he just soaks it all up.
