I received a phone call from my mom the other week and she began telling me of a young couple in her church who had spoken with her about our family. She was very impressed with the kids and how they behaved and such and asked to be able to speak with me on the phone. Mom talked to me and gave me this ladies phone number. I really had no idea what I was going to say to this lady. Aaron and I are not the perfect parents and are kids are not perfect either. We try and live by what the Bible says to raise them and desire to have them really love the Lord. We are still "building and battling" as you might say with them. So, yesterday morning I gave her a call and she began asking me what we do in certain situations and just overall how we work with the kids. It was amazing how the Lord worked. I was calling to help her and yet she helped me in. It was good to talk with another woman who does go through the same things day in and day out and being able to express how the Lord has worked in both of our hearts.
When Aaron came home I told him of our conversation and we began talking about how this is not the first time someone has told us about our children. It really opened our eyes to see that many are watching us and our children. We have become quite good friends with our tailor lady because of our kids and how she saw them acting in her store. We are now trying to work on them to come to church. There is a family in our church who loves the kids that Aaron's been talking with. We want to be a blessing to them and allow them to have the same joy we have with our children. They love there children but they have never had time alone since the kids came along and it's really weighing on the family.
I was humming the song, "He's Still Workin' On Me" , the other day and I am so glad He is. We took a walk late last night while Grandma had the kids and we were just marvelling in the fact of what God has done for us and His provision for us. I don't know how I would raise my kids or live my life without Him. We are still learning everyday and sometimes it's hard, but thankfully we have a God who is near us every moment.

Wow, what a blessing. Keep up whatever you are doing. It seems to be working. You are an awesome mom!
Love,

We have had very similar opportunities because of our children. People come up to me all the time and say, "I bet you are so proud to have such well behaved children", but in reality it's a very humbling thing. When I look at myself, I know that it is only by God's grace that they are doing as well as they are. Plus, I know what they're like at home where they are safe and know they are loved unconditionally! ;) Still "even a child is known by his doings, whether his work be pure and whether it be right."
