Thomas the Train!

We had a fun time on Thomas the train for Alyssa's birthday. The kids enjoyed it, especially Drew. It's hard to believe our littlest one is two already. She is growing up too fast and talking way too much!! We are having a contest for the month of May in our church and everything is in Proverbs. Alyssa was able to say her first whole verse last week, "My son, if sinners entice thee, consent thou not." We were so proud of her.

Our mother's day luncheon went well and the fruit game turned out great. I have been on a pistachio kick here lately so Aaron bought me a container of them that are already unshelled, some flowers, and a caramel apple with chocolate on it. Boy, was it ever delicious. The kids sang for Mother's day at church and did an awesome job. I couldn't ask for anything more than I have. I am so proud to be the mother of my kids and am thankful to be able to teach and train them according to God's Word.

Drew starts soccer this Saturday and he is pumped. We have been practicing during the day and he is improving a great deal. We'll see how he does. Drew is getting so big, as well. He is acting so much older and losing that "baby" look. We have been practicing writing again. I kinda held off for a little bit with it so now we are back full swing with the writing and blends. We will be ordering the K-5 curriculum here soon and will start that once we have practiced more writing. We have learned so much about volcanoes this week too. Drew is very intrigued by them and can practically look at the book now and tell me about them.

The weather has actually been quite nice. I was able go out and run for the first time since the winter and it felt great. I am hoping my running days aren't over since I have been having some heel problems lately. I am going for an x-ray here soon so prayerfully all will be ok.

That looks like so much fun! :) My kids would love to be able to ride in Thomas. We don't have anything like that around here though. Is that in your town?
