Prayer

I would like anyone who reads this blog to ask you to pray for something. My sister and BIL are missionaries to the Philippines where they felt God wanted them to start an orphanage. They are in the process of moving to a different island at this time, to a better church and so the orphanage can be under this church. The agency and the government that they work with knew this was going to happen and told them at the time it wouldn't be a problem. Well, now that the move is taking place they are giving them a hard time about transporting the children to another island and have taken away three of the children and put them in a Catholic orphanage. Joann and Kevin (my sister and BIL) have had these children for several years and it is very hard on them.

My BIL at this time is in the states raising more support and all this came about after he had left which leaves my sister to deal with it all. The agency is very lazy and doesn't want to come up with the proper paper documents to transport them and they also want money. My sister and BIL cannot give them money though because it would be like "trafficking" children which is against the law. Joann gave them two weeks to get the proper documentation in order or they will have to go to court. Not going in to much detail at this time, our family has been very attached to this ministry and we are praying that the Lord would intervene.

Where the children are at now they get a fish about the size of your spoon and split it between 2-3 children and a cup of rice for each meal. Joann went to try and visit the 3 they took away but they wouldn't let her. They allowed her to say "hi" through the door and she said that one of the boys face looked very skinny. To hear what these children have gone through is heart breaking and yet the agency has taken them away from what some of them have known most of their life. Many of them refer to their mommy and daddy as Joann and Pastor Kevin. We know the devil is working and we would like to see him defeated in this situation so these kids can have a stable life and be taught about Christ.
