Lipstick, soccer, curls, and singing!

This about sums up our Alyssa. She loves to wear lipstick (chapstick-mommy lets her think it's lipstick), but she would rather wear her soccer shirt instead of her pretty pink flower one, and have curlies in her hair! I haven't been letting her put her "lipstick" on lately because she has been sick. I told her when she gets better she could have it again. Miraculouly, she comes to me hacking away, nose completely stuffed, needing a tissue, and telling me she's not sick anymore so she can have her "lipstick".
Alyssa loves singing "Patch the Pirate" songs. Thanks to Papa Behrens, who sells them on his CD table while he is out preaching, we have most of them. The kids have been going to bed early lately and we put a CD on for them. We usually play the same one for several nights so they can learn the story or the songs being sung. It never fails, the next day Alyssa is always singing one of the songs. She starts them off well and then adds her own version of words throughout. Lately it's been, I Love Broccoli (she really loves broccoli), Responsibility, and The Fear of the Lord, that's been ringing through our ears.
