Free of Kids!

Aaron and I had a wonderful time on Monday and Tuesday without the kids. We went to Letchworth State Park and stayed in a hotel. We had some warm weather so we were able to do some hiking around and get outdoors. It was nice to be able to come back to the hotel room and go swimming in the heated pool and just relax. There is no one I would rather spend time with than my one and only.

Alyssa sees her surgeon this Thursday. We aren't really optimistic that he will allow her helmet to come off. We are planning for another two months or so. There have been times where I have actually been thankful that she has had it on due to some falls she's taken. I am also still trying to witness to to one of the orthopedic guys that we see during her helmet adjustments.

Drew is doing well. It's hard to believe he will be three in about 4 months. He loves singing and still loves school. He wants to read so bad but we are still at the beginning stages of blends and sounding some little words out. He does well at pretending he's reading to Alyssa. He's doing well on his numbers and is learning some of his states. He has a Leap Frog learning system and on his map of the United States he knows how to locate N. Jersey, Pennsylvania, Illinois, New York, Alaska, Florida, and California. Drew is a big help around the house and enjoys working. I am sure that will change soon enough but I will take it for now.
