Work, work, work!!

We have been busy around here trying to finish up the last minute things on our house. We have decided to put it up for sale in the next few months. Drew and Alyssa still had drop ceilings in there rooms so we tore those out and need to put the finishing touches on the ceilings and crown molding up. The last room is our mud room and then we will be finally done! Right now we are looking to move closer to Aaron's work in West Seneca unless the Lord leads somewhere else. We will not make the same mistake twice and get a "fixer upper". Not that we won't mind a little work that needs done just so it's not the whole house again.
School is going well for Drew. We have been working hard on his short sound vowels and his blends. Last week he read his first two words. He was rather thrilled and is looking forward to being able to read on his own. He loves the library. I try to make Friday's our library day. I usually let him decide one animal he wants to learn about and then we find books on it. Daddy is the one who spends the time with him reading and learning about them. So far it's been ants, spiders, and gorillas. By the middle of the week Drew looks forward to the library again and already knows what animal he wants to learn about next. Alyssa is our little stinker. She is not strong-willed like Drew, which thankfully he has come out of, but she is one who knows what she wants and likes to have it her way at times. She is truly a girl, as well. If daddy gets on her in the least her little eyes well up with big crocodile tears and you would think the world had ended. She gets in to everything imagineable. Drew is a good helper and keeps an eagle eye out on her.
Yesterday I was able to make a fall wreath for our door and a fall table centerpiece for our pastor's wife for there new home. I had a 50% coupon for Michael's and was able to get some good deals. I enjoy making them and it allows me to have some time to myself.
