Peppermint Patties and Water!

During our family devotions time Aaron usually tells a little part of a Bible story each night until we finish it. The last character we learned about was Samuel and Aaron and I ended up acting it out for the kids. Of course, Drew loved it and remembers everything you say. Since we finished the story I had asked Drew one morning while we were sitting doing quiet time to tell me the story of Samuel. He did well, but when he got to the part where Samuel was being called by God in the middle of the night he used his KDV (King Drew Version). He began being the Lord calling for Samuel and then as he was acting going to Eli to see if he needed him here was his choice of words. "Samuel, Samuel. Yes, Eli do you need anything....like a peppermint pattie or water?" Peppermint patties are his favorite candy these days. He will usually come up to me several times throughout the day telling me he is very hungry. So I ask what would you like, maybe some carrots, yogurt, or a banana. His reply is always, maybe a peppermint pattie.
Things are busy and I am trying to get things more organized and button up little projects on the house since our time to put the house up for sale seems to be coming quick. Most of our stuff in the attic is labeled and in storage bins. Aaron is already thinking to maybe just have movers come and move us instead of the 3 amigos (him and his brothers) do it all. I am trying to get rid of the stuff that we never use so we don't move unnecessary things. I am hoping our new house has aplayroom for the kids.
School is going well for the kids. Alyssa lately has shown much interest in learning her letters so we have been working a little with her. I have started some Math with Drew with just adding. My mom for Christmas got the kids these felt animals and felt Math signs to use with them. Drew loves them and is catching on quick. I am really praying at what to do with him for next year. Thinking about starting him full fledge into the K-5 A Beka program and seeing how that goes. Right now we just kinda work at our own pace with the K-4 curriculum. We are still not sure on a school situation for him right now.
We had some money left over from a gift card for the kids for Christmas so I went to the toy store the other day and found a Spiderman hut tent for $10. Drew loves it. He and daddy try to go camping downstairs on Friday or Saturday nights with the sleeping bags. It was a big treat this past Saturday to sleep in the tent.
Sorry, Carrie I'm not pregnant!
