White as Snow!

For awhile now Drew has been talking about salvation and we have been earnestly praying for him. He told us awhile ago he was going to ask Jesus in his heart on Christmas day at Papa's house. Well, Christmas came and went and we kept praying. He asks questions all the time and we have really been not just telling him he does "bad" things but trying to teach him the things he does is sin and how Jesus hates sin and he died for that sin. Several days ago Aaron and I were at home and he wanted to ask Jesus in his heart but wanted me to pray. Aaron sat down with him and used the analogy that if he was hungry then we couldn't eat for him he would have to do it himself to be filled. The same with asking Jesus in his heart, that he needed to repent of his sins and ask Jesus. Well, that was the end of discussion. Today, we did our normal morning routine with eating and then quiet time on the couch. He looked through his Bible we talked about the Lord and then Drew prayed for the day. I played awhile with the kids and then put on a music CD for them to listen to while they played and went to clean some things up in the kitchen. It wasn't much longer when Drew came in and said, "Mommy, I want to go to heaven and see Jesus". I stopped right there and told him that when he dies if he has Jesus in his heart then he will get to spend the rest of his life with Jesus in heaven. He said, "I don't have Jesus in my heart but can you help me pray so I can ask him?" So, right there he prayed and asked him to wash his sin away and come into his heart. Boy, the look on his face when he was done. He began telling me how his heart was white as snow now and how mad the devil was that he had Jesus in his heart. He then came into the kitchen later and asked if he could go see Jesus now. I told him mommy would miss him but when Jesus is ready for him then he can go. Several times he was anxious to see Jesus now and then told me he couldn't wait to see David. So, then we sat down and named the Bible characters that he knew of who he would get to see someday.
I am so thrilled to be able to lead my son to the Lord. I am not a stay-at-home person and the Lord has had to work on my heart at being home all the time. It makes it all worth it to be able to teach my children about the things of the Lord and be able to lead my son to Christ. I am excited to see him grow now and learn more about the Lord.

That is so wonderful! I'm so excited for Drew! There's nothing like seeing another person ask Jesus to save them, especially little ones!
