We're Home!

We had such a wonderful time being away. We stayed in a house/cabin and were able to do some hiking. Where we were, they usually have a ton of snow. However, they had a warm front come through and all of it melted, so snowshoeing was out of the question. We ended up coming home earlier than expected because we missed the kids so much :0)

We went to a church where my dad preaches and, of course, we got ribbed for being Dr. Behren's daughter and son-in-law. It was awesome to see so many people come up and tell how encouraging dad is to them when he preaches there. We were also encouraged at the church. The pastor preached exactly what we needed and was so scripturally sound. In a couple weeks, he is preaching a series on forgiveness, and we are looking forward to listening to it on their website. We were just talking about this idea of forgiveness and how we had obeyed the Lord in this area and the benefits it is reaping. I will have to share the story at another time.

Each time we go somewhere everyone always asks how Aaron and I met. After telling the story again, this time it brought back a flood of memories and gratitude once again for Aaron.

It's good to hear you had a lovely time together. I'm the same way about our kids. We go on a date to have a little time together and we're missing them ten minutes after we leave.

I was surprised when Aaron came back from Bible college without even an engagement. God had a special girl in mind for him. It's so good to see that you all desire to serve the LORD, raise your children in Truth, and that you have a wonderful life together.

What a blessing to be able to get away for while. Again, I'm so glad you got to go! I hope you're back into the swing of things now that you're home. :)
