Alyssa's Birthday! It was a busy but fun day. We all started out at Dr. Li's office. He was very pleased with her progress and she will have to wear the helmet for only two more months:) We lost some time between her old helmet and getting the new one made, so these two months should make up for that. After that Dr. Li said she should be fine. We thank the good Lord that this was correctable and she should suffer no ill effects.
After seeing the doctor, we did all of our shopping. Mommy always enjoys this part of the day the most! After coming home and doing a few odd jobs, we started our party! We got some cake and ice cream. Uncle Ben stormed into the house unannounced (ha ha), soon followed by Grandma Burkhardt and Aunt Terri. Everyone had lots and lots of cake and ice cream. Alyssa was hesitant to dip her fingers into the cake, but once she had a taste, she had no inhibitions whatsoever. Thank God for our beautiful daughter and our happy family! We are truly blessed beyond measure.
