Addison couldn't have come at a better time. The Lord answered every prayer we had concerning her delivery and arrival. I had scheduled an induction with my doctor last Tuesday for Sunday night on 12/20. By Wednesday I just didn't have peace about inducing and talked it over with Aaron and we decided to call my doctor the next day and tell her we just wanted to wait and let my body go on it's own. I was glad we made the decision, but was also a little upset thinking she wouldn't be here when my parents arrived. Aaron and I prayed and prayed that she would come and I could be home by the time Monday rolled around. Well, the Lord knew all along and I started having contractions that Wednesday night and by Thursday morning they were 8 minutes apart.
We also prayed that Aaron would be able to stay off of work once she was born and continue through his Christmas break. He was allotted five family sick days that he could take. PTL, things started on Thursday and he is now able to be home until after January.
We arrived at the hospital at around 9 a.m. and I was dialated to a 4-5 already. I was admitted and the waiting began. They had talked about putting me on Pitocin if things started to slow down. Aaron and I prayed that it wouldn't have to happen and I could just keep letting my body do the work. The Lord intervened and no Pitocin had to be given and at 6:49 p.m. our precious little girl came in to the world at 7lbs 1oz and 19 inches long.
Please continue to pray for her as she was born with cranialsynostosis. It is the same thing our Alyssa had when she was born. We see our neurosurgeon on January 18th to make some decisions with him. She is not as severe as Alyssa was, so we aren't sure if it will make a difference or not with surgery or wearing the helmet. We are continuing to pray for a miracle and know that God can still do ANYTHING!!!!
